Building affiliate websites with Wordpress is really easy and there are many great plugins to help make this task even easier. And phpOStock is no exception as it is easy to install (as all wp plugins are!) and configuration and use of this plugin in both pages and posts is really simple.
As soon as I bought the phpOStock plugin I decided to create a new affiliate site to see just how easy it was as Ben had already told me it would be really easy. And it was!

Wow! I am truly bowled over by the flexibility of phpOStock. I have published a few niche items from Overstock in the past and I have always been amazed at their pricing and range of products on offer but it was too time intensive to do anything significant with them.
But now, with phpOStock, it is a whole new ball game. Not only does phpOStock allow me to select from ALL of Overstock’s product range instantly, to suit the particular niche(s) I’m working in but also, it enables me to pick and choose what information I want to present to my visitors and how I want it presented! I have created niche websites using just phpOStock and also added it to some of my existing websites. It’s just so darned flexible. The simple-to-add tags and easy-to-build templates make this an ideal product for experienced and new internet marketers.
As affiliate plugins for WordPress go, not only is phpOStock great value for money, it opens up a great new, relatively untapped source for generating some serious income. I must add that the support I have received in my early days with phpOStock has been fantastic and any issues (usually down to me) have been dealt with quickly and in a gracious manner.

When I first heard that there was a phpOStock WordPress plugin coming out that allowed anyone to tap into the popular Overstock Affiliate Program, I had to jump over and grab it immediately! I have been using some of Alan’s plugins to expand phpbay already, and know that he goes the extra mile to build in the functionality we all want in a WordPress plugin! One of the main reasons I jumped so quickly, was the ability to diversify my affiliate website marketing efforts into different areas. Having all your eggs in only a few baskets is never a good idea! In addition, the Overstock affiliate program uses a 14 Day Cookie, versus many others that only use a 7 day cookie!

Overstock has a wide range of items on sale at really good prices and phpOStock has allowed me to take full advantage of their affiliate program and add even more products to one of my niche stores. I integrated phpOStock into the site I built using phpBay and this has increased the variety of items available for visitors to purchase with the end result being a few more dollars in my overall CJ balance which is great!
When I first got my hands on the plugin I started thinking about the rigmarole of having to learn how to use the plugin but in actual fact learning how to use it was not hard at all. It comes with easy to follow documentation to help you get the most out of it. The commands for adding items to pages are just about the same as those for phpBay which I already use so getting used to it was a breeze. It does pay to take a few minutes to read through the documentation which will in turn help you maximise on revenue.
All in all, it is a plugin that is well worth the small investment and a great way of earning a bit more revenue from a Wordpress site.

I was excited to win a copy of phpOStock from a contest on Ben's blog. I installed it immediately. It was very easy to use and it seems they thought of everything. I just wanted to test out how the plugin works so I quickly added some Overstock products to my newsletter thank-you page. I made a sale after just 3 days on a low traffic site!
